No need to break the bank on fishing gear for the whole family, TSP offers the Tackle Loaner Program, allowing its guests to rent rods & reels, and tackle. No permits required when fishing from the pier or shoreline!
Bring your own boat or rent one from the park office by the lake. Choose from kayaks, canoes, john-boats, or paddle-boats. Motors are allowed with a 5-mph speed limit.
Choose from a variety of campsites, including those close to the lake, ones with water-only connections, ones with full hook-ups, and even screened-in shelters for added comfort and extended stays.
Explore the piney woods on foot with the whole family. Take the nature trails all around the park and enjoy clean air, natural views, birds, and other wildlife.
Miles and miles of bike trails wind through Tyler State Park. From beginner trails the whole family can ride, to advanced ones with technical turns and steep climbs. We dare you to try the C & D. Don't forget your helmets! Trail maps provided by the park rangers at the front office or on their website.
